There Is A Reason

You’ve tried everything, still there’s something missing
Just another day to merely keep existing
No satisfaction, no meaning in your life
Closer to nowhere nothing’s wrong but nothing’s right
And there you stand at the edge of it all
Only hopelessness in sight
Jesus is there arms open wide
Won’t you trust Him with your life

There is a reason you were created
Even if in the here and now you’re still asking why
There is a reason you’re longing for Him
Answer the questions unravel the mystery in Christ

You’ve lost control now you’ve got nowhere to turn
Your plans come crashing down lots of lessons nothing learned
You just keep waiting to fill the void inside
So full of questions what is wrong with your life
And there you stand at the edge of it all
Only hopelessness in sight
Jesus is there arms open wide
Won’t you trust Him with your life

Fight For You

I was the philistine mocking Your name
I was the soldier who drove the nails into Your hands
But You died on a cross so I could live
You called an enemy to be Your friend
You made me a soldier for the kingdom above
And here I stand nothing without You

You make me wanna fight for You no matter who we’re facing
You make me wanna live for You really really live
You make me wanna go with You to places impossible
And to run with You to the very end

I was the blind man who could not find my way
I was the runner who did not have the strength to stand
But You went before me so that I could see
You raised me up and gave me Your strength
You made me victorious before I took a step
And here I stand nothing without You

I can’t bring anything but the things that You’ve given me
I have nothing to offer ‘cause it’s already Yours
But here I am wanting, wanting to follow
Taking up my cross after You Lord

Break My Plans

The praise songs of a nation flowed from his hand
And in a world of dark oppression he made a stand
They told him to be silent and led him away
Ten years was the sentence a prisoner of faith
As he waited for God’s timing another winter chilled the air
And when he thought of his own family he was filled with despair
So he cried out for justice was there any other way
But then he gave it all to Jesus as he began to pray

Break my plans shape my heart
Take my will to where You are
Move my mind through Your word
Till all that I am lives to love You Lord

I know I’m called to suffer and to take up my cross
But sometimes I grow so fearful when I count the cost
Still my heart wants to follow and to walk in Your ways
To be counted with the faithful Lord guide me today

With all my heart my strength and my soul
I will love You God so use my life and take complete control

Voice Of God

My son heard Your voice for the first time today
You called without a sound and he answered
I watched overwhelmed as he took Your name
You spoke and his heart was captured
By Your word You made the heavens
You said be still and calmed the sea
Your voice makes the earth to tremble
And You still speak to me

From the ages past to eternity come
I want to hear the voice of God
From the day You called my name
To the day You say well done
I want to hear the voice of God

I remember a time when my faith was brand new
And Your voice was so perfectly clear
Help me silence the noise and confusion again
‘Cause it’s You that I want to hear
By Your word You made the heavens
You said be still and calmed the sea
Your voice makes the earth to tremble
And You still speak to me

You thunder from the sky and roar from the waves
You whisper on the wind and cry through the rain
You shout from the earth and speak through the fire
You echo from the depths and sing through the night

Walking By faith

She knows that she’s not perfect
Never been the kind of girl who had it all together and now he’s left her
Two little ones beside her
She doesn’t know how she will make it through another day
But she walks on she walks on
He knows that he’s not worthy
Always been amazed that God would even want to use him but he’s still preaching
And he knows that God has called him
But there are days when he can’t see the hand of the Lord
But he walks on he walks on

Walking by faith every step from on his knees
Pressing on to higher things
There is more than he can see
Walking by faith trusting promises unseen
Holding on to his belief
He has all the evidence he needs
To keep walking by faith

I know that I’m no hero
Sometimes I can’t even move myself much less a mountain but I’m surrounded
By the ones who’ve gone before me
Pointing to the finish line and cheering me along
So I’ll walk on I’ll walk on

And faith does not demand that we step out with the blind
The hope our eyes will one day see is seen today in Christ

Obey

Obey when your heart is breaking
Obey when life is good and seems complete
Obey when sin is made to look inviting
Obey God’s call trust and believe
Obey when you’re feeling weary
Obey when you win the victory
Obey when His plan you can’t see clearly
Obey God’s call and through it all obey

Your heart may be dulled by the aches of this life
Confusion may reign in the night
Don’t let feelings lead you don’t go your own way
Joy will come again obey and trust in Him

Sin masquerades as the end to desire
Destroying all those who come near
The God who created you knows what you need
He’s the perfect way won’t you just obey

Trust and obey for there’s no other way
To be happy in Jesus

Time With You

Wake up early on a Tuesday morning
Find a quiet place and sit on down
I close my eyes and smile ‘cause I know You’re near me
My heart is in heaven my feet on the ground

There is nothing like spending time with You
Jesus It’s always the same
There is nothing like spending time with You
Over and over again
Over and over again

Feels like rain falling around me
Problems come and problems go
It’s good to know that You will always be here
Help from my weakness strength from Your throne

Wake up late on a busy morning
Full of so many things that try to take Your place
Sometimes it’s hard to know that I need your presence
Then I look up to heaven and I see Your face

My God Is

I am not wise enough I am not truthful
I do not know the answer and I don’t seem to care
I am not strong enough I am not faithful
But everything I’m not He is

My God is and my God knows the answer
My God cares all I need is Him
My God is and my God is living in me
My God hears all I need is Him

I am not brave enough I am no warrior
I wouldn’t count on me ‘cause I may not come through
I am not loving I am not patient
But everything I’m not He is

He is the ocean when I am the desert
He is the beauty when someone looks my way
He is the constant when I am unstable
He is forever in the middle of my today

Rest My Child

A newborn baby’s cry a mother’s heart is asking why
As worried doctors rush to help her son
What will the future hold how will this challenged life unfold
Now all that she can see are dreams undone
And as her spirit quakes she hears the one who can calm all fears

Rest My child I am here to hold you
I am what you need for life’s dark hour
Rest my child lay your cares upon Me
I am always by your side so rest My child

Her special one needs so much care the other children need their share
She’s overwhelmed by work that never ends
She wonders what to tackle first could there be time for just one verse
Wearily she finds His word again
And as her spirit quakes she hears the one who can calm all fears

Strengthened by His word each day
She learns to listen and obey
Struggles leading on to victory
In the stillness of the dawn
She learns to lean upon the One
In whose everlasting arms she’ll always be

All About His Name

A melody can move me with just a simple sound
And harmonies so lovely will captivate a crowd
But the songs we’ll sing forever on the other side
Are the ones that lift His matchless, holy name on high

It’s all about His name He’s the reason we sing
It’s all for His glory all for the King of Kings
He’s the only Savior and He wants all our praise
Jesus our Redeemer it’s all about His name

A job can fill your coffers and bring respect from peers
Mergers trades and offers will further your career
But the work that God will honor in heaven above
Will magnify the Father and reflect the Son

One day we will see Him
In all His righteousness
And every knee will bow down
And every tongue will confess
